Honda 450r vs Raptor 700

I know somebody who will be getting a Raptor 700 very soon so I was wondering how this would compare to my 450r. Iv got a full sparks system on the way also.

Just wondering.. Post comments, opinions etc..

EDIT: Forgot to say he weighs around 230

with your 13 tooth front sprocket and your pipe you should be able to pull the holeshot for a while but i dont know about speed that thing seems mean as hell:devil:

personaly i think the raptor would blow your doors off, maybe not off the line but would start walking away by far. IMO

450r :).

Raptor is faster on top end, and you can lug it around in any gear all day long, but 450 will out accelerate so much it, it would take a mile for it to catch up on top end.

i dont know about that but anyway

im not really a big fan of this yamaha vs honda thing and ive never really liked a raptor but i do think the 700 is gonna rip.especially with that fuel injection,ur all judging it by the ol 660.the 700 is gonna be a whole new quad and i think it'll outrun any quad from start to finish.jus my .02
but they did say in dirtwheels it could easilly do 100 wit a couple of lrd mods on the flat dunes.

dude i didnt dee much dif. when i test drove the 700 down thee road from a stock 660 beside it handles a lot betterr but i might seem close to a 660 cuz i have a 727 in my raptor know and havent rode a 660 in like a year lol

urs is a 727 and the 700 is only a 686
btw its got the fuel injection

I believe in the Raptor forum i read someone rode the 700 and compared it to something, cant remember exactly, go check it out.

That was a 727 raptor, based from the 660 raptor, not the 700.

I really do think its going to be a close race, but top end will on his part will be higher of course because of the bigger engine.

i dunno man, i think your right randy. youll prob beat it off the line and a few gear but i still think once its in 5th gear it will pass you up. :ermm:

why dont u race on mx or trails, who cares about top speed, you never use it unless theres a longggg straight on an mx track.

im better on the hills, randy knows all about that:p

as far as the race randy, i think youll take him till about 4th gear then he might start to catch up, but itll have to be a long drag. only time will tell.

Your better at hills because I just dont ride them alot. Im getting alot better at them though, but other then that were even;)
