Here's a couple pics from some drag races I went to see a few weekends ago .

One fast sled .... Who says you can't run a sled all year round ?? :devil: :eek: This thing was hitting about 135- 140 in the 1/8th mile .

Hey it's my dad's Cuda ... except on steroids . This car was the same year and same color as my dad's . 1969 Plymouth Cuda . This one was rockin' a 440 with a bit of work done to it . ;)

Here's my baby ..... joke ... I wish it was . This was one of the nicest Pro Street cars at the event . I'm actually looking into buying the S10 in the background though . :D

There's a few fords I wouldn't mind owning though ... like a 1969 Ford Fairlane 428 Cobra Jet :D

2 years agao I had cash in hand to buy an 89 Stang off a guy . It had a 355 in it ... and was all set up for drag racing . I missed the deal by about 15 minutes ... once again it was a guy that my dad knows that bought the car . :grr: :mad:

thats pretty sweet greg. Do you know if any of those guys are heading out to Milan Michigan i think its this weekend? How far are you from michigan? If you're not too far your dad's buddies should head out to out drag track in milan wich is about an hour from the bridge. I ride at the mx track and the drag strip is a couple hundred yards away and its sweet hearing pure muscle car run down the strip

That's not a cart ... it's a drag sled . Custom built chassis all out of aluminum ... I wish I'd have taken some side pics ... this thing was amazing .

Yup ... that's 4 pipes that you see there . I don't even know what type of engine was in the sled ... I was affraid to ask ... I didn't know if this thing was gunna bite me or something .

It's a 4 cylinder powervalve ... and it hauled *** down the track . Loud as a mofo also .... the sound was enough to blow out your ear drums . :p

my dad has a cupple sleds like that. not open mod tho, altho i wish they where.

he gets somewhere around 6 secconds in the 1/8th mile on the grass.

he dont race any more tho. I am going to be his driver this year I hope.
