I'm getting a Black 450r tomorrow and i'm wondering if theres any thing i need to know about it before i ride it. I just read on here that you shouldn't give any gas when starting it or you will blow the case or injure your shin. So info like that would be helpfull. Thanks

don't give it ANY gas when you start it or you will learn the hard way..the only time I give it gas is when it's flooded and I just hold it down and you got a 50/50 chance I think of it kicking back on your shin....the kickstart is EASY. you will be able to start it one kick every time ;)

I live in Lewis County over by Tug Hill. North of Utica and south of Watertown.

Is the HCR kit worth the money it seems very expensive for what you get.

this kit does help the power out a lot. i would do it again in a heartbeat. if you don't like the price, you can just get a stage 2 hotcam. the cams are similar but the hotcams do cost less. you should be able to pick up a new hotcam for around $130. if you add a full pipe to this combination, you get really really good gains. it is a totally different bike with these 2 mods.

add a 185 main jet and no airbox lid, and it makes the beast even better, webcams makes good cams as well, dont know on the price. and get the rossier pipe, best pipe out there.

I got the wheeler tonight and i am impressed. I like the way it shifts and the power delivery. Its not as snappy as my YFZ but i hope its more reliable. First gear is high so i might get a smaller sprocket. What jetting would i need for no air box lid and spark arrestor removed? Oh and are the YFZ jets the same as the hondas because i have lots of YFZ jets laying around.

yah, im running a 175, with a cut lid and no end cap, only diff is that i took out the plastic "T" crankcase breather and drilled the one side larger like the HRC one is, it lets more air flow through the engine.
