whats your riding style? where do you want the best power? what will it be used for? what are your other mods on the bike?

i want it mostly at the top end....im gettin my motor re built caz it crapped out..so its gonna be a 480 and ported with a hmf slip on and open lid

i would look into the hrc or the stage 2 hotcam for what you want. both of these cams will be pretty similar. the stage 2 will provide a little more low end power than the hrc. the hrc might rev a little higher. the hotcam will be a little cheaper of the bunch. i would contact C&D racing if you want the hotcam. if you want the hrc, join www.trx450.org and get on the woodward forum and that will probably be the cheapest bet.

I got the stage 2 hc and i love it , the best mod on my quad yet. The stock cam just holds so much back. Gave me a little low , tons of mid and good top.

i prefer web cam I use the mysto. but they offer 5 cams for the 450r. you can buy directly from them.

With a HRC cam can you just put it into a stock motor without modifying compression and springs? Thats that cam I am wanting to get and I probably wont get it if I have to do all of that cuz I would put the cam in myself.

I have the HRC cam (only one out when I got my bike). I love it and I'd recomend it. I see you're in IL, so am I. I will be at St. Joe state park in Flat River MO on Sunday July 24th if you want to ride my bike so you can see how the cam runs. I think you will like it.

i am supposed to be going to st joe state park on the 23rd. but right now i don't have an axle on my bike. if my new axle comes in, i may be there...
