Hey everyone. I was just wondering if some one out in internet land sold a cable for the 400ex that is about 2-4 inches longer. I have a stocker on it now, I just replaced the handle bars with a set of ATV bend bars, now my cable is too short? Prior to replacing the bars I would constantly burn it on my exhaust header. Input? Anyone??

Well, that part number wasn't even in my dealers data base. When I went in and they couldn't find it, they were able to fix me up any how, they sold me a cable for a street bike, it was about 6 inches longer and is working great! I bought 2 just incase this one brakes when I am hunderds of miles away from home.

I appologize to you all... I did mean 250x NOT EX and the honda part # 22870-HC0-670 will work on a 400EX you can run the cable down along the frame away from the exhaust and up to the cable mounting bracket..... I PROMISE YOU NO MORE BURNT CABLES!!!!! servicehonda.com sells the cable for 14-15$ not inc S/H.... Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

You can also use the clutch cable off of a 300ex most likley. Don't see why it wouldnt work. Same quad but stroked and retrofitted with an e-start.

Yeah, I went to the dealer with that part number and they said that there was no such part number... I asked about the 250x and 300ex, but those clutch cables are even shorter then my 400ex cable. They were able to help me out though, I now have a clutch cable off of a street bike running on my machine.
