my friend races in the beginner class on his 450r. he was in 3rd on the last lap. he said he was about to catch the 2nd place guy and lost it on the woops section. From looking at his quad it seemed like a bad crash. the bumpers are both bent. key is missing. wiring is riped apart. coolant overflow cover is missing. bars are bent to ****. He said he crashed so hard the seat came off. other than that nothing to bad.

07-12-2005, 10:47 PM
nice. no tv in my house. so if anyone is tapeing it I will gladly buy a copy off ya.

07-12-2005, 10:49 PM

his name is kyle martin. He crashed in the feature event about 100 yards from the finish he said. he is on a black 450r, that looks like it went to hell and back.

Tonight there supposed to have Heat Race 1 and 2....but I checked the info for tonights show, and it didn't metion atvs...it said "Some of the sports include Large Dog Ability, and Log Cutting" or something to that effect, with no mention of atvs. It also did not metion atv's for last nights show...so hopefully they do have the heats tonight...

i felt a bit smarter after watching an hour and a half of dogs and log rolling. it would be better if the chicks wore white shirts

the info on our system said atv racing, ofcourse we got teh same teaser as everyone else. welcome to money and advertising, where if your not involved you get boned.

07-14-2005, 08:40 AM
REALLY WHO THE F@CK IS IN TO LOG ROLLING??? Who is in charge of programming over @ espn? What a complete moron! The chainsaws were cool but the dogs and log crap were just rediculous. It's fustrating that our sport does not get any real on air time. Oh well I feel better now.:grr:

07-14-2005, 08:41 AM
By the way does anyone know if they sell DVD's of the GNC tour?

geeze, people, calm down, cant you just be glad that they are putting quads on ESPN and quite the *****ing?

when i think of out door games that involve, log rolling, log climbing, chain saws, dog contest , ATV racing dosent seem to really fit. this is the 6th annual outdoor games and they took a chance on quads. all of these sports were in it first, plus i think i read somewhere that ESPN mention the quads, 9 out of 11 slots, and have it on the main nights, friday and saturday. do you expect them to put the quad racing on for the full 2 hours? come on people you might think the other stuff is stupid, but i bet theres more people watching it for the other competitions and think that quad racing dosent fit into the program and is stupid.

this is a chance for atv racing to be on TV and one of the biggest sports channels, (although some could argue other things shouldnt be there like poker, ect ect...) people watching it might get an idea and want to research it and bring more people into the sport. but for now sit back, change the channel if you dont want to watch it, or open your head and take a look at other things that you dont get to see too often. i know im impressed on everyhting they do because i know i couldnt stand on a log or scale 6 1/2 storys up a pole.

personally i think that almost primetime on ESPN, that show completely rocked. the announces were bs'ing way too much and making stuff up but the track layout was sweet. those guys were flllyyying when they were hitting the triples. it doesn't look like it from the front but when they showed the rear view they were hauling. i disagreed with the red flag. it made it look like our sport is not as hardcore as it is with the restart. i was also very upset that Natalie got screwed out of his place. Razr's hook up less than holeshots and he spun and got a bad jump off the line. i'm glad he did much better later on though. if i were to do a program, it wouldn't be any better than this i'll tell you that. i really like the setup. i think we got recognized there. the rough conditions just show how hard they're riding. i can't wait till next year, i'm pretty sure they'll run the ATV's again.

I taped it and just watched it! That was great I wish espn had a full time atv race channel. They have all other sorts of dumb stuff like espn classics and espn espanol or whatever why couldn they add an atv channel!
