View Full Version : Yoshi Comp or HMF

I don't want to start a flam fest but I have the HMF full system and my friend wants to get the Yoshi Comp full system.

#1: Which makes more power (i know its an opinion)

#2: What are the power characteristics of each?

I anyone would like to add anything else I would be glad to hear it.

I am one of those people , i have rode with both and the hmf bottom-mid hit is awesome. The yoshi is a great pipe but just not the same performance IMO. The hmf is loud but sounds the better than any other pipe.

They are totally different pipe. My uncle paid 369 for his... I paid 200 for my HMF. :) The yosh seems top have more hp, while the HMF has a lot more torque. I liek the yosh because it adds where the stock bike leaves off.. right around the midrange. It didn't seem to add very much low, but gave it a healthy touch on the mid and top. It will also hit the rev limiter much easier in 4th than my hmf will. Right around the rev limiter, there is no power for my HMF.

HMF I belive has more torque and midrange power. But the Yoshi has more top end I belive

i have a yoshi comp slipon and wb works header on my 300ex and it gives crazy torque. i dont even use first anymore and i can wheelie in 5th. seems like with a stocker it gave more topend though.

the Yoshi hooks on the bike funny. I have one and like it (cant' speak for hmf) but the stupid way the pipe hooks on is just plain dumb engineering.

I thought people knew better than to ask what pipe to buy against an HMF. People always say HMF so you can pretty much answer your own question
