cobras are crappy but they are basically an open end pipe and cheap :D

actually...the cobra isnt THAT loud....an hmf is louder...friend has one on his bayou....its quieter than his gutted stocker:p

Not to get off-topic here, but are LRD pipes really that loud? I was planning on getting one for my '04 400EX cause I was under the impression that they offered good performance gains, a good sound, and they weren't too loud, unlike HMF for example. Should I now be considering something else?

It might have been the model of LRD but hell yea man that sucker was loud. i can post a vid of it tomarrow with a hmf'd yfz450 cam mod vs the lrd'd 660 raptor and you can deffinately hear the rappy.

My neighbor has an LRD piped 400ex. It is fast but he is really crazy. About the pipe it is loud but it's not bad sounding. It could just be because I am a fellow rider that I don't mide him flying around the neighborhood.

an easier way to get a loud pipe is to take out the spark agressor on almost ne pipes with itthat should do a little for you

LTEs are really not that loud compared to some of the other manufacturers.

You might want to rethink the loud pipe idea. After a while of riding it gets pretty annoying listening to an overly loud quad and will give you a head-ache. There are pipes that are quieter and imo sound better.
