I hate them in my opinion, they tire my wrist, but like you said its personal preference.

definitely a personal preference... and what you are used to. I've ridden quads with thumb throttle for almost 20 years... short pause while I ponder all those years, and everybody else laughs at me... :p But I digress... Point is, thumb throttle is what I'm used to. A week ago a buddy let me take his KTM300 for a ride. First bump, throttle cracked open... ended up laying it over, but on me so no damage to the bike... ;) I will stick with thumb throttle my remaining years... :D

I personally like the thumb throttle on a quad...because it feels like you have more control...and then i like the twist on the motorcycle

I have a thumb on my 426, and a twist on my warrior. I like both, they both are awesome, and I can switch back and forth between em whenever I want and always ride the same.

Definatly personal preference.

I won one of these on another site. Put it on and tried it too for a few days and HATED IT! It always felt like full throttle or nothing when hitting rough stuff i nthe woods. Say goodbye to wheelies too. Mine is in a container of parts I have and if anyone wants it PM me and I'll sell it cheap

For me it depends on what i am doing. This past weekend on the Hatfield/Mcoy ride I got mud between my grip and gloves and I couldnt turn it.(I am still feeling the pain)I am gonna get a thumb for long rides, and for everday riding I am gonna use the Twist.
