Why does is it that my ex idles so hight and when i turn the screw counterclockwise it doesnt do anything same for when i turn it clockwise. I think the wire that connects the knob tto the carb is still in tact.

i am having a tough time figuring out what your saying. you turn a screw clockwise and nothing happens? you turn a screw counterclockwise and the idle raises? are you turning the idle adjustmemt, fuel screw, etc??

Make sure you have some slack in your cable. I had a motorbike that would rev when turned right. The cable ended up too short. Also, take off the black cover on the carb, and make sure it is turning.
