I have a 300 ex, and I got a k&N about 2 months ago.. It hasn't been cleaned or anything. and I put it on straight out of the box and strapped the outerwears cover on it.. My questions about it are:
1) When should I clean it.... I ride on dry dirt most of the time.. and very little mud or water... when should I clean my filter.
2) Should I use a air box lid. I just assumed that because I have the outerwears on that I shouldn't really concern myself with dust and dirt.. am I wrong..
I'm thinking of putting holes in my lid.. I can get some material that is almost the same as the outerwears so It should be easy...
