I was check out the new Dirt Wheels issue today and I saw that Wes Miller kicked some 450 @ss on his 250R. Even though it was in the amature class its still pretty sweeet to know the R is still king.

The only reson the 250r's aren't still out there dominating is because of the pro production class, if 250r's could still run in that class, there is no doubt in my mind that most of the pros would still be riding the R's or an R hybrid. Hands down the 250r is the best quad out there.

Any frame manufactured or based on a frame manufactured before 199? was the rule I believe. I don't really remember, because back then I had a 400EX and could care less about racing.

I don't know about all the racers some need the sponserships to afford it and even if the r was allowed, companies might not sponser a rider on a 88 model.ps I would Type more but I am on m& blackberry.

Factories didn't sponsor but aftermarket companies did, because 3 or 4 years ago THERE WASN'T ANYTHING ELSE BUT 250R'S TO SPONSOR!

rule is.... the quad has to still be in production... AND it has to run the stock frame... and the vin on the case halves and the frame have to match. so that there rules out the 250r, because she hasnt been built in over 16 years

so if you race a 03 z400, you need to have a 03 z400 motor, or can you use a 02, 04, 05 motor? does the motor number have to match the one on the certificate of origin?

the VIN matching numbers only applies to the Pros im thinking.... im sure they wave that for the amateurs... just cause they dont have the money resources like the pros do. so if u were running Pro, ud have to match ur 03 frame with ur 03 motor that came from the factory together.... but if u were running pro... my guess is u would be running the newest year.... lol.
