Didn't really need another quad, but it was so cheap and the thing is in great shape. It is bone stock except for Answer handle bars, Scott grips, and the alloy swingarm guard. Needs minor things like chain and sprockets, and rear brakes. Guy I bought it from was the original owner and had every receipt for everything he ever bought, as well as a factory owners and shop manual for it. Hell, it even has the orignal front tires and sprockets on it. He said he did not ride it much and I believe him.
I had one of these when I was a teen, and I think I bought it to re-live old times.

Everyone I know that has one or has had one loved it. And I too have the reputation that 250X's are a long living monster.

Just fixing the stuff that needs it. Otherwise just riding it.

Great find. Frame looks perfectly straight.

The frame is dead straight and not as scuffed up as my 2000 400EX. This has not been ridden very much at all.

Very nice 250, since you have another quad I would keep it stock.

Thats my plan. Makes a nice loaner. I am thinking about refinishing my 400EX frame this winter, so I will have something to ride in the snow.
