Well with cut fenders you get more mud shot up at your body, but its looks nicer.

and its not a big factor but if you are doing alot of jumps then the air doesnt have many things to grab and lift the front end up..with cut it is alot less wind resistant.

Not sure what type of riding you do but when I had cut fenders every time I would get NEAR water my forearms would get soaked. Even just in wet grass. The mud isn't any worse than with full fenders IMO.

o sry about that. i love racecuts going 5th gear and seeing ur wheels and shocks work is so cool sure u get a little more mud but think of it this way if u go faster less will get on u lol. and yea if u race the wind resistance is one of many reasons why pros racecut.also if ur racing and its a mad muddy track the mud gets caught under there and its extra weight that could really mess u up if u go off a double and weigh 5-10lbs more lol

when you have full fenders they have a much better chance of cracking when/if you roll over, shaved fenders don;t give the ground anything to catch

Advantages with Full Fenders-Protects you better in XC Race from mud, rocks, water, dirt etc...

Disadvantages with Full Fenders-Cracks easily

Advantages with Race Cut Fenders-Better view of the front tires when landing a jump if race MX, looks cooler if thats what you like,

Disadvantage-Just about the complete opposite of the advantages with full fenders..

I like mine because when i go off a jump i can see my tires ect. and plus when the track is muddy there not flopping everywhere and cracking

I belive someone stated this in a really old thread.

Go 60mph down the road, cup your hand and put it out the window. Multiply that wind resistance by 5 (the size of your front fenders) going 60 mph on your quad.

..i don't think your quad will be noticebly faster from shaving front fenders.. but there alot more popular in MX , because most mx races arn't muddy, there nice for vision and landings, and it looks bad ***. :D

yes you cut them yourself. But you can also buy them pre-cut.
