I took my parking brake off today and i was wondering what you guys were doin where you ingage the parking brake. I took that metal peice that is above the clutch off and there is a big space there. What should i do, buy a new perche for that side? Here is a picture...

I run a CR250 perch and lever. Also if you want a place for a hot start get the CRF250/450 perch and levers, but you have to get a spacer for the hot start cable, I believe Baldwin makes the spacer.

I ordered mine from Honda of Troy 1800-755-2112. 2002 CR250 you have to get the perch, lever, rubber boot and pivot bolt. The stock 450r lever wont fit the CR perch. For the rest of the parts rob them from your stock perch ie back half of clamp, clamp bolts, the nut for pivot bolt, and cable adjuster. As for price (this is off the top of my head without the bill handy) perch $14 lever $12 pivot bolt $3 boot $7 = $36 plus shipping. Service Honda might be cheaper for you I get a discount at H.O.T. You can find H.O.T. and Service Hondas web sites with google.

new perch but... why the mention of the hot start lever ?? its shouldn't have anything to do with the clutch perch . buy a cheap or expensive one but don't worry about the hot start .

i run ASV, they are the best levers on the market, and are truely unbreakable and have a garuntee :macho

I run the ASV with built in hot start and love it. Granted I had to switch over to crf hot start components but its still an awesome perch/lever. I also eliminated the big headlight cluster on the handlebars so I needed something with built in hot start.

all that will work on a 400 or 450 but what if you have a 300 and the reverse thing is on your perch too
