400ex or kfx400

its time 4 a new wheeler wat should i get a 400ex or a kfx400...i liek that the kfx has reverse but the 400ex are more relieable i heard...so which wheeler is better the 400ex or kfx400...and which one is better in the mud...and is just more reliable

Actually the new 05 400ex has reverse and the honda would be more reliable. The kfx/z/dvx has a little more power and now has reservoir shocks. But honda's are bulletproof and both machines are awesome in the trails. I had a 400ex before i got my 450.

then the KFX will have a lil more power and reverse, but the suspension will be equal. the ex will also be more reliable of the two. they are both quads... with a couple hundred bucks you can be smokin KFX's on the ex ... its mostly preference.

If you are buying brand new go with the kfx or Z, I feel you get more for your money (and I used to own a 400ex). If you are buying used go with the EX, you can pick them up cheap these days.

definately the 400ex, power wise they're very close (close enough that all that matters is the rider) stock vs. stock a 400ex could beat a z/kfx/dvx depending on how they ride and how fast they shift gears and what not, they are pretty close and the ex is just all out more reliable and are good for any type of riding
