Is anybody running a different brand header then the brand of pipe they have ? I have a pro circuit and was thinking of getting a fmf header.

i have a yoshimura pipe with a white bro's header. works good but it leaks a little where the two connect.

i wonder if any hp is gained to mix match. i was thinking of getting fmf power bomb header/w white bros e series my self but have yet to see if female mates to male end dia. on my 400. who has mix matched is a good question, and also what is to be gained. i think the biggest problem would be the header pipe being long enuf for the slip on. is the power bomb all that its cracked up to be, or is it just a GLORIFIED IN-LINE GLASSPAC. just a thought, is too much flow bad for 4-strokes. i know that for cr500 with the right setup (pipe) it will cause a "supercharging" effect with the exit ing nox. but for 4 strokes is back preasure needed? what im trying to say if you take the best heder and best slipon i belive there will be a loss in hp. weather down low, or revved out is THE QUESTION!!:blah:

the powerbomb should match up to your e series... i noticed more of a mid range hit when i rode my buddies with a header

was there any loss down low?? the way i ride i need the torque to be STRONG DOWN LOW and build to STRONG MID for the pesky trenched i tend to find and try to plant my front rotors into. damn liquid courage:scary:

What exactly is a glasspac?

i think its like a muffler with fiberglass packing, but those headers use someting like steel whool only thicker

Was wondering how long it was gonna take before they used the 2-stroke technology on 4-stroke pipes.

The tuning causes it to suck more exhaust out, causing less force to push it out, thus increasing HP.

They use it on Formula1 racers.

Actually by definition.. almost ALL aftermarket ATV silencers are glasspacks. Aka.. fiber packing.. no baffles. Inserting the quietcore, or the baffled exhaust systems (like the stockers).. are the only non-glasspacks out there.

what about the turbine mufflers from fmf and super trapp
