250r hood on 300ex?

Hey ive heard alot of riders puting 250r hood scoops on theyre 300ex? How does that work? What kind of work would i have to do to make it even and look good?

Any ideas would help!

You can buy the scoop from Maier, it takes some trimming and bending but its worth it in the end. Just take your time and it turns out good.

with the 250r hood dose your stock 300ex light fit in the hole?

I have my scoop mounted on Maier race cuts, Im sure itll fit stock but dont go by my word.

they make a scoop that mounts in the stock location www.feathercarbon.com but it is $125 that is what sucks

r u seious???? that is to scoop air towards the engine/oil coolers....the light doesnt deserve to go back on witgh a hood and aftermarket bars....

They dont make non carbon fiber scoops for the 250x. You have to order a 250R one from maier and do some trimming and bending to make it work.

Yes, it will fit on stock plastics. I did it on mine, I think it looks pretty damn good. :D

kyle, It is pretty easy to put it on stock fenders, you just remove your stock hood, set it on there, and drill new holes to bolt it on with. I think you should put a black one on yours. There will be a little gap there but it looks better than stock.
