schwinn bike speedo?

i just got a schwinn bike speedo from wally world..i figured what the hell, for ten bucks i'll give it a try. well i got the computer mounted on my bars and dont know what to do with the sensor and the magnet..cuz of course the wheels are aluminum so they're not magnetic. i thought of maybe putting the magnet on the axle... and then putting the sensor on the axle hub so that it hangs right over the magnet. but i'd only be able to do that on the roads, if i go in grass or somethin then i'll have to take the magnet off.

any more ideas? thanks in advance

go on the trail tech website and they have directions for there speedometers. should be the same as yours. my trail tech was pretty easy to hook up with those directions.
