05 400ex built for flat track racing - never raced - best parts

i have an 05 yellow 400ex that has 2 rides on it before i built it all up to race flat track. it is absolutely mint. i just changed the oil in it so i could start racing. well, plans have changed and i have no time to race. if i cant sell it all, i will part out the aftermarket parts and sell the stock 4wheeler. i do have all the stock parts. the motor is stock as well but it will hang with a stock 450r. here is a list of all the aftermarket parts.

american racer tires with douglas rims- i bought them used, but they are in awesome condition.

jrd racing long travel a arms- i bought them used but they look brand new

elka shocks front and rear with rezzies- the fronts are brand new built for tt, and the rear is barely used

burgard +1 steering stem - brand new

ims intimidator bumper - brand new

stainless steel brake lines - brand new

durablue sway bar - brand new

durablue lowering strut - brand new

durablue +2+4 axle - brand new

D.I.D. racing chain - driven around my yard once

39 fcr keihin carb. - bought used, but very little

k&n powerlid - brand new

curtis sparks timing advance key - brand new

scorpion full race exhaust - looks brand new, sounds loud and awesome

full hinson racing clutch - it is not installed but i will throw it in

i have $9000 in this 4wheeler, and i will let it go for $8500 obo. no trades. i live in missouri and i will possibly assist in shipping. also, i do have pics.

here are the pics guys. go to this web site. it shows the quad stock to. i will include all stock parts, and they do look brand new. $8500 obo. or if anybody wants the stock quad i will take all the aftermarket parts off except for internal, mechanical, and engine performance.

I just sold mine that had practically equal mods and I sent all my stock parts along with it for $3100. Good luck, that's all I can say.

that is less than what i have in it. its not like im trying to make a big sale here people. its a brand new 4wheeler with $4000 in mods. go out and buy a brand new 4wheeler and do what ive done to mine for less. or you can go buy a piece of **** like eviljester just sold for $3100. you get what you pay for ya cheapskates.

Best i can say is part it all out it is a 05 so you at least have reverse they are tanks and take a beating the market has gone down on 400ex after honda dumped all the 04 on the market it will go back up but these guys are having a time getting more than $5000 out af yzf450 all built up Good luck man if you want some guns for after market stuff willing to trade for what ever i have ar-15's any body else wan them at pattydale@msn.com

You say mines a pile of crap? At least all of the parts that I had on mine were brand new instead of used buddy. Afterall, the market for the 400ex went down because in flattrack nobody wants that underpowered thing (readers note: flattrack is all about engine). Speaking of the engine, you have an FCR carbeurator, a "modified" airbox lid, an exhaust and a clutch, oh wow, you're definitely going to beat a 450r on the TT tracks. AT MOST that 4 wheeler is worth $4500.

my buddy in town here who owns a shop is sellin 400ex's like crazy. he is selling 04's for $3800. you have to keep in mind this is practically a brand new 4wheeler. you could buy this thing and sell off all the parts and have a brand new 05 400ex with $4000 in it. im parting it out. if you want the stock 4wheeler for $4000 its yours. and ill leave all the skid plates, nerf bars, and front bumper, and anything internal i have done to it.

if you havent drove an 05 yet, then you need to. my buddy who has an 03 416 got on mine and was amazed. i dragged a stock 450r and kept up with him all 5 times.

i wanna stick up for the guy sellin the quad, and that price probably isn't to bad, IF quads kept their values and parts kept their values, but they don't, and 8500 for a 2005 400ex w/ suspension is more than anybody would pay. now if your quad was a 450r with those parts on it, then hell yes i would pay 8500 for it, but a 400ex.. sorry no

the only thing i dont get, now after building this quad, is that you cant go out and buy a brand new 05 400ex for $5000 and then build it up for less than what im selling mine for. i mean i have even raced the dang thing. its practically a brand new 4wheeler with $4000 in mods. i know i can strip the parts off of this 4wheeler and take it down to my buddy's shop and sell the stock quad for $4000.

Everything goes down in value when you buy it you beat the hell out it or at least try that way you get your money worth. You have got your money worth yet. Not beeing rude really! But why did you buy it and decide to sell it so soon its a nice quad man i say keep it> oh well

i would love to keep it, but i have no time to ride it and i need the money for a new project i am wanting to start. i am wanting to put a 10" lift on my 04 dodge hemi.
