Lock Nut

Does anyone have pictures of how far the lock nut is supposed to be tightend in and give some tips on how to tighten itcause the manual says 45mm and 56mm wrnches and i dont think those a readily available. i plan on putting electrical tape around it this time so i dont run into this problem

I use a large pipe wrench or cresent (adjustable) wrench. Remeber that to tighten, you lift up on the tool, from the back of the quad.

yea, you have to loosen the one on the left up first (down) then get the one on the right tight then tighten the left one up and i would put some lock-tite on it to make it seal. my 400ex likes to loosen it back up no matter what i do to it or how tight i get it, but yea use a pipe wrench to tighten them, it works the best, find a big one.

I went to Harbor Freight and bought a big adjustable wrench, it was pretty cheap. It helps to tighten it since it is so long.
