He's referring to the positon of a switch or relay in starting. so he can add a kill switch?

I believe the circut is open. Once you hit the switch, it closes the circut, and kills the motor.

dont worry about wether its normaly open or closed or not i tried to do my kill switch the way your doing it on my 300ex and to make a long story short it doesnt work, the correct way to wire any kill switch (that has two wires coming out of it) is to take one wire and connect it to the black/wellow wire coming out of the cdi and connect the other to ground
ps i would suggest not cutting the black/yellow wire but just take the insulation off an wrap it in electical tape :D
