Does anybody have either a TMAXX,MAMMOTH,LST,SAVAGE,OR REVO? How do you like it and please don't respond unless you have one. I'm lookin to trade my edelbrock 42mm carb for one so I was just wondering how you liked them. Pm me if you need anything besides giving me feedback.;)
Thanx,cory

Ya I have a Savage 25. Its one badarse lil machine. Thing will wheelie and ramp like no other. I love it. It was definately a good investment although changing batteries and charging stuff constantly gets kind of annoying. My friend has a RC-10 GT and its pretty sweet. They are cheap and fast. If you were wantin a starter one I would go for that. If ya got any questions just let me know though. Hope this helps!!!

I have the Tmaxx. They are fun but little money pits for sure. The little car costs mor to fix then my quad. A little screw kit was $25 for a tiny box of screws. Be prepared to spend money and alot of time.

Yep, same with my traxxis stampede, I just got a new 16 turn motor, when my $75 speed controller fried!:grr: It's on the shelve.
I also have a super blackfoot. My brother made a custom clod buster out of erecter set. It has like 7 inches of ground clearence and is about 20 inches long. It looks sweet and it can float! He also has 17 turn motors on it( 2 motors) He also has a traxxis rustler (majorly fast) and the origanal tamiya blackfoot( a lot of rubber bands) My dad has a Kyosho Big Boss. (pretty fast) I wish Honda made a RC/Car because then they wouldn't break down so much.:D I think I'll waste my money on my atv for now.

:huh I have a Savage, and my neighbor has both a tmaxx and a Savage. The tmaxx is always broken. I have yet to have a breakdown on the Savage that wasnt induced by a hard core crash. Ive had mine for about a year, put two and a half gallons of fuel thru it and all Ive broke is about $45 in parts. Just about everything comes in packs of two, so when you buy a broken part you get a spare as well.
If your going to race it look for a REVO, if its just for bashin and thrashin, get a Savage.
As far as a money pit..... Well its cheaper to fix and hop up than your quad. Ive modded my Savage pretty good for jumping and bashing, with dual disc brakes, four gear differentials, and better air filter, throttle and brake linkage mods. stiffened the shocks, and upgraded to a 5cell 1200mAh battery pack. I also installed a cam type servo saver and im in the truck under $600.
Thats less than a nice pair of shocks for your quad.
I wouldnt call it a money pit, not compared to the amount we pour into our quads every year or so.
Cats hate them too.

Alright if your going to race without a doubt get a revo the suspension geometry is the most advanced of anything out right now. If you want to just bash around the lst will probably be the most fun do to its 40mph speed and its enormus size. It all depends on what you are going to do with the truck.

My savage runs 40mph and I havent broken a thing on it. I jump it constantly and it never breaks. With 8 shocks to help it out it is pretty solid. You can also get a reverse module for them that is pretty handy for 30 bucks.

How fast would a tmaxx go with these mods?
the engine is a OS .18 and was just broken in. aluminum parts include: shock towers, shocks, a arms and chassis. it also has a robinson racing flywheel, K&N filter, mac's exhuast, and rpm rims.

nevermind about my last ?.

07-11-2005, 04:24 AM
take that k&n and throw it in the trash. then go get a motor saver filter.

p.s aluminum makes your truck heavier which = slower. rpm a-arms are more than strong enouf and you wont bend pins so easy.

the downside to buyin the radio equipment is spendin big bucks..... u will spend enough on radio equipment in 2 years, that will equal the cost of your truck alone..... it did for me anyways.... the servos on my ntc3 would just go crazy for no reason, but the whole thing is a big steamy pile so it doesnt realy matter:rolleyes:
