I have a 440ex 11:1 piston and a one layer head gasket [regular 440 gasket has three layers so I took it apart and onley used 1 layer works great and no blown gasket yet and I ride the sh** out of it] with this set up I have a compression reading of 170 psi what octane level does she need to run the best

just run 93 pump. don't waste your money on race fuel. you need a 12.5:1 piston at least.

When your riding it.. with premium pump.. if it starts to ping under load at full throttle. Bump up your main jet 1 size. It will help it run a little cooler so you don't detonate.

You'll want to run a hair on the rich side. About a 13.5:1 air/fuel ratio since it's air cooled and runs hotter than a water cooled motor.
