Stock Shock Help

Is there any way to adjust the stock 400EX shocks so they don't suck so bad? When I jump I land so hard it about breaks my back.

The only thing you can do on the front shocks is crank up the preload, and even then they still suck. The rear shock has preload, compression and rebound adjustment....so there is more to adjust on that one to dial you in better. I'd suggest some Elka Rec. Series shocks for the front and the Elka conversion for the rear. That whole setup would run you between $700-$800, but it's worth it.;)
