question on timing chain

y do ppl put like 450 and 250 timing chains in them wat does that do to the motor?? jw

They're stronger (have more links in them, width wise) and they generally cost less than the OEM chain.

Also, they are less prone to stretching.

never heard of anyone putting in a 250 chain, but the 02 crf450 is a perfect match length wise as the 400ex and is does not stretch as easily. it is also cheaper than the oen 400ex cam chain.
