I just got a UM Airbox, I installed it last night and it seemed that the intake boot was too long, has anyone else had this problem before, if so what did you do?

Do you think I should cut off the battery box mounting brackets since my battery is now located inside the airbox?

what do you run?mx,xc. i run mx and with my aluminum airbox it broke my subframe.the battery puts alot of weight in the back of the sub frame.ill leave the brackets there just in case you want to remove the alum airbox.just my 2 cents.ohhh to answer your question.mine fit good.

Do you think I should get my subframe strengthened?

I don't see anything in the world that would help it add more hp than removing your factory lid. I had one, it looked good, til the battery pounded its way out the bottum of it. I agree with the other guy, leave the factory mounts in case anything ever happens to the box. Just keep looking at it cause if you jump much the bottum will start caving in.

Thanks for all your help guys, I don't think mine is going to be a problem since I have not worked up the courage to air it out that big yet. I think the biggest jump that I have attempted is a 30 ft double, it is only my first year riding. Haven't quite worked up the courage to jump any bigger. I am trying to build up the courage to air out table tops and triples.
