Thats the exact look I am going for. I have always loved the stock look of the 88-89 and thats is what I have been planning since I started this thing. I always prefered the 88 but the two different reds don't look right to me so opted for white just havn't got around to buying yet

I thought about red plastic to get the stock 88r look, but I have the same candyapple red frame that you have. I think the white plastic, candyapple red frame looks pretty sweet. You could get alot of money for that plastic on ebay to cut down the cost of new oem white plastic.

Everytime I look at it I think that the white would look really sweet. Would make the frame stand out more. I was going to ebay the red plastic but not sure if I want the hastle of shipping it. Plus its not in the best of shape

They seem to be holding holding up pretty well. I really don't have too much time on them but the spot right near my house is pretty unforgiving on rims and I have no problems yet

I wish it was close. They were taken at Silver Lake, MI. Great riding, but about 780 miles away.

I may have someone who will take those plastics off of your hands. 2 friends of mine have their r's set up as 88's, and one of them is looking to find decent plastic for a backup set.

Yeah that sucks. Was it worth the trip? Im trying to talk my buddy into a trip. But it would only be the two of us so he isn't really up to it Keeps saying he would if there was more people going

I am going to be up front about the plastic. Its not on that great of shape. There is a considerable amount of scratches front and back. was like that when I go my old R. The guy said it was from his boots. With a good graphics kit it will cover up pretty much everything on the front as for the rear I don't know what can be done. On the plus side there are no cracks. And if I sell them the headlight itself won't be included. If you want I can take some good pics of the scratched up areas and send them to you then you could pass them on to whom ever. How far are you from Philadelphia? If you buddy ends up wanting them we could meet up instead of shipping

Oh one more thing I had to trim the front to fit the pipe. It doesn't look real bad at all

Yeah, its a great time. It was my second trip out there in the past 3 years, and I would go again in a heartbeat, 14 hour drive and all. 3 of us split the cost of the trip this year, and I spent just over $500 for 4 days of riding, gas for the drive out and back, hotel,etc.etc. :D Not a bad deal at all. Plus, there isn't much that compares to rippin around in the sand.
