E-series pipe on a 400ex Quit core 2

I tried to pull six discs out, it didn't seem to make much of a difference with sound also it was a pain the srews kept stripping, anyway. Alot of people say the quit core 2 insert drops the sound by 5 dec. has anybody used this on there e-series pipe. They say it didn't effect the power much. Thanks

I have had 8 discs out, and it does make alot of difference on sound and power. At idle, it will sound really close to the same with 12 discs, but at 1/2 to full throttle, it is alot more quiet, but a huge notice in power drop. Never tried a quiet core, but would be interested in the difference:blah
