That limited plastic looks good but breaks real easy. I like mine.

I checked those out at the dealer when they came out. The are heavy pigs and the suspension seemed really stiff. I bet they are great dune machines, lots of power there. WOW, what a night and day differece, the cut fenders makes it look 100 times better.

to my knowledge everything is the same. except the limited plastics and no blazing orange this year rather they have silver.
a lot of people like to bash this bike, yes it is heavy but it is a very fun machine dont knock it til you try it.

I know with mine pictured above, I raced over 22 bikes over this last weekend, I only lost to a DS650 with motor work and 2 YFZ450s with motor work.

My fathers got a KFX700, '05, and already said he's going to get black plastic for it but definately likes the new blue/silver Kawi plastics. True though, those 'lava' plastics don't bend, they shadder. Pretty odd to see. They just break apart
As far as them being slow... everyone who says that hasnt tried one. I love my KFX, but even with a pipe/filter, my fathers stock 700 is dead even, or when we drag on some nice soft dirt for traction he beats me by a bike or two. Top end pull is rediculas too... mash it anywhere at any speed and she just gets up and goes.
I can just see him RUN away every time I have to shift gears - That auto tranny is beautiful. I would be scared ****less of that bike in the woods with duals, jetted right, and some minor tweaks. Still not as quick as my smaller bike through the paths though :macho

Yeah, I have HMF duals, timing advanced and opened the airbox a lot. I also have almost 500 bucks just into the clutch. She flat rips and the ELKAs really got its trail manners under control.

There is a lot of opinions on pipes out there. I will tell you that my HMF pipes are loud as hell and the DMC pipes are not to far back. I do not want to hurt anyones feelings on this site but, if you want some great and plentiful info on this bike go check out kawieriders.com.
