450r exhaust on 400ex? wha?

Hey ppl, i was just wondering here, i know their different engines and different quads all together besides plasics, but Im curious as to if an exhaust from a 450r will work on a 400ex?

the mounting places look the same, so i dont think that will be a problem, but will the pipe from the 450r make the 400ex run bad or anyting like that, or will it be fine.

just curious because i can get a great deal on a yoshi slip on, but its from a 450r......... and i dont want to get it if its gonna make my quad run like ****.


anyone have any experince with this? any opinions?


sorry if this is a completely stupid question, but i just dont know i guess.

i cant say it will slip on but you should be able to work. i got a r4 off a yzf250 to work on mine.

the yoshi pipe dia may be bigger. you may have to put some sort of a spacer between the header and the pipe.
