i got to put a few hours on a 450 kodiak this weekend and i really liked it:ermm:

They can go everywhere the bigger quads go and alot of places that are narrower. Excellent machines.

i wouldn't buy i kodiak i have a foreman 450 and if u want a 400 my cousine has one and its faster and more powerful than mine
thats what i would bye i mean i like honda nothing else because they don't use belts and ever thing so u don't have to worry about that stuff if u want 2 know more find me on the site and we can talk or email me

I had an 03' kodiak 400 4x4. It was a powerful quad! Ill tell you what I know from owning one for about 4 months.

Goods-

Front diff locker. (Selectable, engaged, or not engaged!)
FAST for a 400 utility!
Sweet digital display.
Had 4hi, 4lo, and 2hi.
Comfortable riding position.
Lots of aftremarket parts.

Bads-

Heavy.
Hard to steer.
Was a bit tippy on trails.
Friggin' automatic!
Always burnt headlight bulbs.
Rear brakes sucked!

All in all, it was cool. I could whip foremans anyday of the week, and a sportsman 500 couldn't hang either. Only reason I sold was hunting season was over, and I wanted anoher Sport quad.
