I have a stock z400 and iam going to race a harescramble race soon.Can someone tell me if I should set my front stock suspension at the softest or stiffest setting.

set them at whatever feels best for you.

Aye, and be sure to do some downhill hairpin turns. Nothings gonna slow you down more than you'r quad wanting to cartwheel everytime you want to make a 90deg turn on a semi-steep downslope.

Some people like them softer some like them stiffer. I personally like mine a lil stiff. I'd rather have the front end push a tiny bit than have it want to roll in the corners. But I'm on a stock width 300.. so you get one or the other.. lol.

Also make sure your frame is level with you sitting on it once you get it set. Too high in the front will make you loose.. too low in the front will make your quad nose dive when you put on the brakes.
