Well its come to that time where my 450 needs more power. So far i have a LRD full system with kandn filter and jet kit. I was as much power as i can get without losing reliability. I race every weekend and we have the weekend of the 17th off so i have 2 business weeks to get this done. I was thinking of a high compression piston, edolbrock carb, maybe a cam (heard they arent worth it) and would really like to get it ported and polished but dont think i have the time. Let me know what combinations you guys find the best. By the way i race MX. Thanks

I would definately put a cam in it, it makes a big difference. I have the hrc cam and it pulls really good from midrange up. I would also recommend a high compression piston. Over the winter I am going to send my head out and get it ported and polished I was told that should give me another 3 to 4 hp. So good luck!

I just installed the JE 13:1. I have an LRD full system with the HRC cam/kit with a K&N filter w/outwear no lid. It pulls like a freight train but I still want more. I am going to break it in this Saturday. If I remeber I will post some initial ride reports....

I would take either bikes they are both great. And they are HONDA lol. Im sure a cam will help you. I ran against a bunch of bikes with the cam and pipe and did alot better then stock. The cam gives you a nice kick. I raced my buddies 330R and I wasnt to far behind. I dont think thats to bad considering I only have the exhaust and the cam.

HRC cam, remove lid and intake screen (inside filter), full system such as HMF ,rejet to 190. Most bang for the bucks, runs 93 and very reliable! Definately don't waste your money on aftermarket carb! Piston and porting as a last resort (least for the most!)

250.00 - 500.00 varies with porter (name/no name!)
