I've been searching on the internet for this for awhile and I haven't really found anything. I was just wondering if anyone knew the law about that.

You can move out any time you want... the only thing you have to worry about is affording your own place with a job (no good ones till your 18). I don't think theres a law prohibiting moving from your parents house at a young age.

thats what i thought to, but i figured u must have to be legal age? i guess some peoples parents kick them out at 16, 17 sop i guess u can leave whenever u want

Good luck! Life is expensive when you have no money.

I think its 18, but you can move out whenever before hand

HOWEVEVER

You will not be able to sign a lease or get a bank loan or anything like that because your signature is not valid.

UNLESS

You go to court and get Emancipated then your signature is valid and you are technically an adult in every way.

I have been out on my own for about 1 & 1/2 years. Its nice having your own place but its tuff with all the damn bills you get with it too. But i had to work 2 jobs until i got on my feet but im doing well now.

But what if you were younger dn wanted to move out,and yuor parents were to disagree.Do you have the right to elave,or do they have to allow you?..Because I know my bro got arrested quite a few times for leaving.

You can't get arrested for leaving home. You can however, get the cops called on you by your parents for running away, and they will find and return you, unless you refused to be returned and have somewhere else to stay.

I think you need a Parental Signature to get emancipated, btw. Not many 'rents will go for that.

you have to be 18 to move out..unless your parents agree with you and want you out of the house....

you are in their custody until the age of 18, and if they want you to stay home, you have to :huh

lol just a heads up this isnt for me:blah: its for a freind. im happy with where im living hes just so fed up with his life. he has around 6000 dollars saved up, im not sure if that would be enough to make it for a while. anywho ive heard from many different people that 16 you can legally move out... same for 17 but 18 is the age that your parents arent responsible for you anymore.

there is no legal age to get your own place. my one friend got her own place when she was 16 years ago....her dad was in jail, mom was a crack whore.....i think the hardest part is actually finding a land lord who will actually accept somebody who is underage and all that good stuff....6k will go very fast unless he has a decent job with good income....
