250ex vs. Kaw. Mojave

:D Hey people I was wondering who would win ot of these two bikes a Honda 250ex or a Kaw. Mojave?(straight down the highway)? I know they both dont have clutches so I was just figured it would be a good match up. Also if you got ne info on the 250ex post it here.
Because I sure the heck aint buying a kaw. Also what if the tops of both bikes.. Later and thankz for the responses. Super_Man

My 250ex acually kept up with a piped mojave. On the long run anyways in maybe a 100 ft drag he would beat me but blazing down the street we were at it. Ill get some pics of it

Looks like you need more low end to get you off the line faster and maybe a twin airfilter, and then a graydon pipe would do the trick. ;)

ok the mojave has a clutch first of all and the 250ex dosent ive ridden both of these quads. the 250 ex has 229 cc's and the mojave has 249cc's and is a liquid cooled dohc 4 valve powerplant and bore-stroke is 76 =58 while the 250 ex is air cooled and the cylinder sits straight upright . the mojave is faster but the mojave is chain and the 250ex is drive shaft. the 250 ex will top out around 50mph and the mojave will top around 55 to 60. the mojave is faster but there both kind of weak.good recreation riding bikes though.

the 250ex would get whooped, its jus a sohc, 2 valve, recon motor, and the mojave is a kinda high tech motor, jus it still needs a crap loada work, id say on an mx track, the 250ex might win, better chassi and all, but on a drag, the ol honda will loose

You should bump it up the 410 package lurch, then you'd be giving piped 400's problems.

the mojave would beat the 250ex! i used to have 1 and it could keep ^ with my 300EX it would not beat it but could stay ^ with it
and 2nd of all the mojave does have a clutch, u just need to get the 250x instead it will keep ^ with a 300 ex in a drag race and will beat a mojave, just get 1 in good condition there cheap too!the 250 ex's doolook good though! but it sux cuz they have recon motors in them! well theres my 2 cents! later, ~hondaguy1987~:)

I agree with Hondaguy....go with a 250x instead of the 250ex if you're starting out adn don't want a 300ex.....the 250x isn't shaft driven so you can change gearing and they have mor mods. for it if you want it to go faster. Just my $.02

Im jsut messin with ya guys, but I do believe 250X's are faster than 300EX's, arent they?

noooo. my buddie used to have both. but he sold the 250x cuz it was slower. if im right the 300ex motor is the same bore but a different stroke. or they motor is the same with some tinkering. From me riding them both the 300ex was way faster. he had an '87 250X. all stock. I draged him with my little 250ex and I beat him bad until I topped out and then he flew past me. they are geared higher or something cuz they top out pretty good for a 250. but with the mods I have done to my 250ex I am tons quicker.

And yes from my experience the mojave is way better. And the sad part is when I bought my 250ex I could of had the same payment a month deal from my dealer. But I decided to go with honda cuz I like them better and I didnt know anything about any atvs then. In a way I kinda regret getting the honda now cuz there are so many aftermarket mods for a mojave. But o well, engine builders are finally making some things for the 250ex. Now if people start to make more suspension mods for it I'll be happy. Durablue makes a eliminaor +2+2 axle for it and works makes shocks but thats about all ive seen. If someone would make some a arms for it it wouldnt be a bad little machine. they are kinda tippy stock thats why I recommend getting 20" MX tires for it. it helped a lot.
