I'm reinstalling my axle after putting in a burgard bearing carrier and I now have a gap between the disk brake hub and the caliper stay that I can't remember if it is supposed to be like that or not. The service manual doesn't really have a clear picture. Anybody with a burgard bearing carrier know if this is correct?

no theres not suppose to be a gap my freind had the same thing happen with his LSR carrier he just rode it a while then tightend it up againand wraped electrical tape around the nuts so they dont come loose

The only problem i have with that is that if i drive it the way it is then there is a very good chance that dirt will get inside the bearing surface and then i'll have more problems. The gap is about 5/16 to 1/4" wide. I had someone else tell me that they had a problem with the bearings in their burgard carrier not being all the way pressed in. Anyone else hear of this?
