oil cover bolt on 400ex

i was takin out the bolts to change my oil filter and the long bolt broke off in the engine block when i broke in loose. have any of you guys ever done that and if so how did you get the broken peice of the blot out of the hole.

you have to drill it out. is there any part of it sticking out of the hole? if there is you can cut a little indentation in it for a flat head screw driver and then just screw the bolt out.

the bolt is broke off way down it the hole

tap and die it out......drill carefully STRAIT into the broken bolt the use the tap and die.

this happens alot, it happened to me, we retapped it and put a new bolt in

next time when putting those 8mm. bolts in use a 1/4 in ratched and not a 3/8 if thats what u used
