today i'm going to go look at a YZ125 has any one had any experience with these bikes? it's got a fresh top end, full FMF pipe and silencer, too trick suspension and good tires. what would you pay? it is listed for $2000obo CDN ( $1600 US) and i am going to try to get it for $1700CDN ($1350 US) what do you think?
thanks :D
oh yeah i'm 15 and i've been riding since i was 5 and i just sold my KX125 this spring so i'm sure i can handle the YZ ;)
Go for it!! is it on www.autotrader.ca because i think i seen one like that for around that price.

no it's just in the local paper.
it's not that old look at how people used to ride 250r's a few years ago and they were like 15 years old. it all depends on who rode it. and as far as getting one from the U.S. shiping would be the biggest problem as well as you can just go look at it pictures dont do enough for me.:blah:
Here in Canada everything is alot more money. A 400ex will go for 5000 g in Canadan dollars.

yeah the lowest that i have seen a 400ex go for was $3200 and it was beat to death it said it didn't even run:blah:
i wouldnt buy a bike thatr old
I had a 1985 yz85. Started first kick everytime. I just barley sold it last month to buy my elkas:devil:
average retail for a 1996 yz125 is $1500 but noone would pay it, see if you can get him to $1000 U.S dollars
Try to haggle him down. 1600 is a lot for a 96 yz. Try and get it atleast down to 1200.

I wouldn't pay that much. I bought an '89 Yz125 a couple of years ago for $1100. It was rebuilt, raced once, tons of new parts, etc etc. When I went to look at it it started first kick ran fine. When it got to my house, it never kick started again. I push started that thing for about 6 months. I payed over $1500 in repairs to only end up back where I was. They are alot of work but if you really want it go for it. I know I would never buy another 2 stroke Yamaha again.

thats a decent price but i'd get him down a couple hundred...one of my buddies just sold his ktm250 for $1600(us) i keep thinkin it was a '95 but im not sure. theres also a '91 yz125 near me for $1365 and thats high.
i've never ridden a 125, only bikes i've ridden are my friends rm250, and a couple little crf70's and such...oh yes, cant forget the drz400 lol. if u can get him down to at least $1200 US then i'd say go for it
