Is it possible to remove the axle without removing the chain? For some reason, I can't get my master link off, and I'm afraid I'll damage it if I try to pry iy off of the chain...
I will be swapping my axle out with a new LSR very soon....
anyone got any ideas?

Try to loosen the carrier all the way. They roll the chain off the right side of the sprocket and slide the axle out of the carrier.
you can do that with no problemloosen the chain all the way up and slip it off.

make sure you slip the chain off to the right hand side of the rear sprocket. I always make the dumb simple mistake of taking the chain off to the left, and you cant get the axle out.

How about unbolting the sprocket, guys?
You can't get the master link off because the stock chain doesn't have one.

They always seem to come off when you really need them the most.
