Ball Joint Question

I am having trouble removing the ( i dont really know whats its called. On a truck it would be like the pitman arm or somthin similar. Its the thing that has the hub and the front brakes ? having trouble removing this from the upper a-arm. I cant get it lose from the ball joints all my shop manual says is to remove it and i cant lol. I got the bottom a-arms lose on both sides but i cant get either of the upper ones off. Does anybody have a clue to what i am talkin about and know how to get it lose. Thanks

Sometimes you gotta give them a little pop with a hammer. Either that or get a ball joint remover.

Hammer didnt work whats this ball joint remover creature look like who has them?

u need a pickle fork, its a 2 prong fork thats wedge shaped. U drive it between the balljoint and the spindle with a hammer, and it should pop it right out. But be careful not to rip the rubber boot on your balljoint.

i would say no. go to sears and they should have them there.
