i just bought a 05 400ex, and im thinkin one of my first mods is going to be a slip on pipe. Since i cannot afford a full exhaust at the moment, i think this will be one of the best bang for the buck purchases right now.

Ive done some searching on the fourms here and havnt really come up with a good slip on pipe thread, or atleast nothing that specific.

Bassically i have 300$ to spend on a slip on, i also want to beable to buy the header for it later, when i can afford it. So, with that said, what slip on pipe will get me the most power, and have a good sound to it. i mostly trail ride, but occasionally have fun at a local quad drag strip we have around here.

thanks alot

white brothers e series: pro's- gives good power amd yu can make it louder or quieter by removing discs or adding some.
cons- mounting bracket is weak

HMF: pro's-very good power, nice exhaust tone but not too loud, very durable!
con's-leaks a little where it mounts to header and makes a little bit of a noise on very low speeds

I would say the HMF. You can find them for around $200. Actually for $100 more you could get the full system, they are around $400.

the white bro's e-series is a good slip-on. i bought myself a full hmf for the big bore and it should be pretty nice.

HMF Sport from Chapparal for $188. Cant beat that. If you want to add a header later I think the White bros. e series will work with the stock header and then you can add the powerbomb later.
