one pro is that it will rev alot faster, but you might lose some torque. thats about all i know about that, others will chime in

hey the biggest con is you will lose your lugging power but will rev faster

sorry, could you explain what you mean by lugging power?

he means the ability to poke around barely giving it any throttle in gear.

I had one that would always cause my frontend to drop on jumps. But I changed it to another lightend flywheel that was a little heavier and havent had a problem since.

i ran one on my 426 and it was slower in a drag. it wouldn't rev quite as high since it is lighter and i didn't notice it revving any higher.

THey just help pick up revs faster like for holeshots, coming out of a corner and the best is for hillclimbing...

I have one in my 400 and have been happy with it over the last 4 years.

I have one in my quad. I had a bunch of other stuf put in at the same time. but I think I can notice what it does. the quad likes to stall when I am crusing around at idle. it just goes for one seccond then stops dead. wheres the other one would just keep going.

i think it was trail tech that sells a heavier fly wheel. what would this do give you more torque

:chinese: :) if you are going to shave your flywheel, 8oz. is about the max you can remove. make sure how ever does it ,dont sahve off the firing pin, thats the little hump on the outside of the flywheel. you can shave on both sides and some off the outside, also make sure you balance it. done right it makes a big differance off the line out of the corners and the hillclimbes.sometimes they try to stall at very low speeds but so what. nobody likes going slow anyways.

I had 12.1 oz. taken off one, it takes a lot more work but you can get even more off if you want to spend the $ for the machine shop time.
