man i just looked through the paper today and theres 3 400exs in my area for less that $2200. one was just rebuilt all of them have mods. then i see 3 or 4 300exs for anyware from 2500 to 3800 and they are the same years as the 400s or older. man the price has seriously droped. i mean i know it went down cuz of the 450s but now they are cheaper than a 300? theres even a mojave thats goin for more than most of them. anyone else notice this happening in there area?

dont pay anymore than 1800-2700 or your ripping yourself off, j ust because there asking price is one thing doesnt mean there selling them even close to that

If you see any in Michigan for 2500 or less tell me a bout it. Is there a web site were you can buy quads from in the Michigan area for a example in Canada there is a Autotrader if there is can you post it hear for me. Thanks for the help.

I went to some local atv shops that buy 4 wheelers and they wouldnt give me a penny over 2000 for mine and mine had a crap load of stuff on it. 400ex's are like a dime a dozen now almost. I sold my and got a 450 why it still had some private party value. I ended up gettin 2600 for it.

yeah i knew they were goin down but they are cheaper than old 300s :eek2: man i wish i woulda just sold mine i just dumped over 500 in it in the last month or 2 during my rebuild. i should have just sold it and bought a used 450 at the end of the summer anded saved all my work money. o well to late, anyone wanna trade a stock 450 for a some what trick just build 0 hour 416?

That's because people realize that the 400ex isn't really that great of a quad. It has it ups and downs.

They are cheaper or the same price as 300ex's because theres just so many of them. There's always 400exs to be sold in the autotraders here.

Their air-cooled, no-reverse, extremely outdated, not much response to mods, high price to get race ready engine wise, poor suspension, the only thing the 400ex has going for it is reliability compared to raptors, Z400s, etc..

Im glad I sold my 2 years ago and went for a rare quad.

maybe if i said dont pay any less than 1800....some areas in the us they go cheaper than others, look in your local want ads and see the asking prices


i honestly dont think you could sell a 300ex around here, no one wants them, 250exs and 400exs sell but unless you give the 300 away goodluck
