Has anyone seen this movie? I just saw it the other night and to tell you the truth I loved it, but the ending kinda went to fast and I was confused what happend. Anyone else have opinions..etc

yah i saw it with my dad and it was awesome, i didnt exactly understand the ending either until he told me. This movie was made a long time ago and this was a remake, and my dad has seen the original one and he said the reason the aliens were dying is because they werent immune to all the bacteria that humans, over time have become immune to. Their are so many bacterias that were a big problem a long time ago, but now, they arent even hardly mentioned because over a long period of time we have become immune to them. So when the aliens ate the humans, or came in contact with them, they contracted the bacterias, and they havent developed immunities to them like we have, so they died.
It tells about that in the original, but i dont think they made it clear enough in the remake

ya i watched it the day it came out, i personalied liked it alot :macho

ohh and when they did the radio one, people were actually killing themselves because they didnt hear the begining of it were they say this is just off the book, so alot of people thought it was real and jumped outa buildings etc, and its TRUE !

I just seen it and i thought it was a very good movie , but i also think it shouldn't have had such a happy ending , i just like a movie where everyone dosen't survive.

I was disappointed with it. I thought it was just like watchin Tom Cruise run the whole time. Felt like a big let down like "The Village" was. Some nice special effects though I will say.

that little blond girl has such an annoying scream. And she did it ALL through the movie. And I still don't know how the son survived in that fire thing.:eek2: What was that red stuff that looked like tree roots all over. It was cool though that I have an outdoor theater like 2 miles away from my house. I watched it there. I can actually watch the movies for free on the trails I ride on, but theres no sound.:(

Saw it yesterday, and liked it. There were some unbelievable parts, like with the son living through that huge fireball. Overall though, I thought it was good.

That red vine stuff was the chopped up humans. If you have seen the movie then you remember when the tripod robot machines would take people up in that thing and then it looks like they shot a red mist out. Well thats what that mist did it made those viney things and they were using those to try and take everything over. Thats what I thought they were at least.
