spark arrestor question

I have a hmf bill ballance carbon fiber slip-on , i was wondering what the difference is running it with and with out the spark arrestor , how much power difference? i really couldn't tell a difference but i know its louder with out it and it seems to pop a little on decel with it out. Just wondering what everyone else does.

That popping means you are lean on the pilot jet. try upping the pilot and main one size and then doing a plug check to see if you are running lean or rich. who knows if you will have a power increase, its trial and error.

Yeah , when i went to wagon wheel in west virginia this weekend which is 2 hours away from home it would pop on decel but not here at home, its either the different elevation or the spark arrestor since i took it out before i left for west virginia.
