Ball Joints

OK, Dumb question here. Whats the easiest way to tighten up a ball joint w/a nylock nut and no place to put a wrench on the upper part of the shaft like on some styles. I know there's gotta be some easy way I just don't know about. Thanks

Just apply pressure with a bar to force it into the taper while tightening the nut!

What I do is put some wahsers between nylock not first to draw the taper in. what usually happens is the nylock binds up on the threads before the taper seats and thats why it spins. This way you lock the taper in first then back off the nut remove the washers and then slowly put the nut back on.

Thanks guys, I talked to a freind of mine and he told me just to tap on the top of them w/a mallet and tighten at the same time. It worked great, I think this is the first time i havent messed up the boots when puttin a front end together.
