ive got a problem. I bought a prodesign killswitch the other day and went to install it, and realized that i had completely removed my factory killswitch and all the wiring that went to it. What would I have to hook the positive lead from the killswitch to, to make it work properly?

The coil power wire to one and to a chassis ground with ther other one.

Cut the connector off of the key switch. Hook the red and black wires together. This keeps your fan and lights working. Then hook one side of the kill switch to the green wire and the other to the black with a white stripe. Done.

If you removed the factory kill switch did you not twist the two wires together that went to it? just hook the kill switch up to those wires.

1000th post!

Mines shocking me too, I am just going to move it to the center of the bars that way I don't touch it except to put the tetter in.

Oh, I had one hooked to the coil before, there should just be one wire on your coil and it runs to a bolt that holds the coil on if I remember right. I just put mine under the bolt the wire went to and then grounded on the frame. I think that was how I wired it.

if its shocking you, then you have it wired backwards. the black wire with the white stripe is your hot wire, and the green one is your ground.

No those wires are for the switch in the clutch perch that will not let it start without pulling in the clutch.
