I run the First Year Racer class (D level). I was in rounds 3,4, and 5. This weekend I will be at the Scarecrow and then I will be at McHenry, and possibly one more after that.

You know Greg Trew? Man I want to see his Race Quad. I read he uses PEP Shocks and has TC Motor Work. That is what I want.

I raced Macon, Steele Creek and Cross Anchor Big Buck and would like to race at least one more later in the season when I get new shocks and get some work done. My mechanic said my quad has the equivalent of 100,000 miles on my truck it is so worn out. :( I would like for me AND my quad to be up to top notch prep for the next one. I had technical problems in all three I raced but it was the experience of a lifetime and I met great people.

Man you lucked into that one! That race should be awesome on the ski slopes and all. I heard the spectators are going to be able to ride the chair lifts right over the course.
Pappy

Yeah I want to know how they Work. Wha is the Point of the Bigger Cables? They won`t get messed up or what?
Pappy
06-03-2002, 07:12 PM
well, the stock cables are junk. by using a better cable and true copper terminal ends you are able to allow better electrical conductance and faster transfer of the stored electrical power.
when a four stroke gets hot or flooded its a bear to start and when you are racing you want to get fired up fast. the stock cables will overheat and only transfer a limited amount of the batteries power. not to mention melt and burn a terminal end clean off the battery. these cables use fine 100% copper wire and are better insulated so they wont have any problems.

yea i am debating running my dads bike or my r, i am just thinking about using my dads cause mine get stuck too much if there is any mud. What jeff your arnt gonna make the trip overhere hahaha.
Pappy
06-03-2002, 07:21 PM
race the r
250rmike
06-03-2002, 07:38 PM
i dont know if i will have it ready in time though. plus i cant get through any mud. I will prolly run my dads cause i can get over technical stuff faster and easier with the better traction. i am setting my r up for mx so i dont think i wanna switch everything back for this weekend. who else is gonna go?

Yah, I'd probably buy a set of dem dere cables. Looks like a good investment.
Also, warrior man, next time if Greg races a local F.T.R race,i'll take some ppics of his FoHundred, ight?
Also, guys, why is there Pro-Trax fron-ends for the Raptor and C-dale,but not for the 400ex? I seen a couple Raptors, and El;is's C-dale with them, but you guys said they don't kmake dem for the 400ex, so what gives? We all know the 400ex is the best, haha ;) :o
Thks HammerHeads,

Thanks Pro400EXC. I really want to see what is done to his and what it looks like.
I don`t think Laeger has made one because the Front End Setup is already Awesome. I guess they are Working on one right now. In the one ATV Action is showed Laeger making a 400EX Frame. That would be Sweet if they did.
The originall and still the best: LAEGERS
Dave400ex

I agree 100%. I will never run anything but Laeger Chassis Parts.

That was me with the holshot. I dropped out after the second lap after drastically overheating - myself. It was a weird feeling because I felt strong - but could not focus at all...
Rick
465 stroker that was you and your wife in the latest mags articles right,,,good info and it looks like your wife is still kicken major butt...:D

Yes, Rico that is my wife Traci & I. Things are going fairly well this year. Just trying to represent the best we can.
Traci had her whole class smoked by 2 minutes at this past weekends race - but her fuel petcock came loose and dumped all of her fuel on the 3rd lap. That put an end to her day - but at least her quad and the woods surrounding her did not go up in smoke!
I had the worse start of my life - in the twenties off of the line, but came back with a 4th in the end. I need to shave 6 seconds off every mile to stay with the points leader. It's just a matter of time.
Rick
465stroker, how was that canidale the first race? was what we read really true?

The Blaze rips! I am seriously looking into getting one, but the cost of racing one may keep me away for now. I need to check prices on plastic, bearings, brake pads, etc. to see if those high turnover items are within my racing budget.
Everything in the artice is completely true - No B.S.

Where at in ohio is this race???? wat fourwheller classes do they got that u can race in.
Go to www.gnccracing.com that will give you directions and a schedule of the races. There is a national in millfield by athens on sept 7. The run a class four every one that is 16 or older. to get to the race take route 13 north from athens and follow the signs.
