Quad fmx is so much better now, I hate bike freestyle now, I know backflips are HARD but they use them so much now! its so boring to watch I like watching tricks being thrown down. I am so sick and tired of seeing flips, hell now even metz and them grind on their dirtbikes :ermm:

uhh thats an accident waiting to happen....land with your bars sideways....that could already happen but that makes it even easier to happen:eek2:

I've been wondering when someone would design a gyro set-up for FMX. I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.

I didn't click on the link but I think I know what your talking about, and I dont know of one rider using those forks. I don't think they will for a long time either if ever. As far as grinds and stuff go, nobody does those all the time or really at all either, the only time I've ever seen it done was when metzger was testing some pegs out awhile ago.

i dont like it...its just stupid...who cares bout spining the bars round?
its gonna cause alot of accidents as most of the fmx riders have their bars tightened up hard so they can do no hander landers and its harder to lose control..and so when they do superman seat grabs the bars stay straight...

i think it would be cool watching the freestylers doing the bmx tailwhips and like tail whip backflips, and it allows for new tricks to be created. i wouldnt want it on a bike while doing anything else though.

i dont think that is an actual gyro like used on BMX bikes....it jsut allows the bars to be turned all the way around if needed..like in that pictuyre, so you can do a full nac nad, i dont see how it would be possible to have a full gyro on the bike with the suspension...all in one unit. the Breaking is where i see a problem...how could you have a gyro with a hydrolic brake?

you dont really need the front brakes. if you really wanted them you could have a drum brake and then have it set up like a gyro.

Good idea or bad... doesn't matter. Sports have to progress somehow. Where is FMX going now? Something has to top the backflip, why not a tailwhip? Can't let FMX hit a deadened, keep innovating.

Probably quite easily with a bit of fabing, you could make a swivel type peice in the hydraulic line goin down the centre tube to allow them to be fully turned. Utilizing mountain bike type style forks which all cables go down the centre rather then two different forks. Were not talking rocket science just some part/trick innovation.

Personally I dont really care what they do, if people want to specialize their bikes more so for FMX then go right ahead. I ride a Quad, and what they do really doesn't matter to me.

Whether we like it or not the FMX world will continue to grow and invent new tricks, styles, parts, etc.. Just like what will happen with almost anything. Change can be good or bad. The backflip for example ruined FMX. Maybe this giro style setup will bring some more exciting events that are worth watching.

the front brake is easy to use a hydro setup... the steel lines spin just as fast as the bars inside...
